Verónica Labrador Monteiro
Verónica Labrador Monteiro is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher from NYC, certified through Breathe for Change and Science of Self (SOS). With over 25 years of experience as a high school Spanish teacher, she brings clarity, compassion, and depth to her classes. Since discovering yoga in 2008, Verónica has cultivated a deep passion for energy anatomy and the meridian system. Her classes blend meridian theory, acupressure, mindful movement, breath work, and meditation to support emotional awareness, energy flow, and self-healing. Her sequences are challenging yet accessible, using props to encourage alignment, ease, and inclusivity for every body.
Verónica holds additional certifications in Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Meridian Yoga Therapy, Traditional Hot Yoga, Mind-Body Wellness, and Social-Emotional Learning. She is Board Certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). She is also attuned to Level I & II Holy Fire Usui Reiki, a practice that further informs her subtle energy work and compassionate approach to healing.
Verónica is deeply grateful to her mentors and teachers, especially Dr. Rose Erin Vaughan and the Science of Self (SOS) team, with whom she has completed over 200 additional hours of meridian yoga training and practice, and counting. This continued study deepens her devotion to yoga as a living, healing art that empowers individuals while nurturing collective transformation. She believes that through breath, movement, and shared awareness, we remember our wholeness and that this is how we begin to heal, together.
