Movement has always been a vital part of Randi’s life. She began dancing as a toddler and continued to dance, perform, and choreograph throughout college and after. Although she initially moved to New York City to focus on dance, she soon found that yoga was not only something she loved to practice, but it also helped reduce the foot pain she had developed from years of dancing. This “aha” moment inspired her to pursue yoga teacher training so she could help others overcome their own physical injuries, cope with mental and emotional struggles, or just find clarity and a sense of calm after a hectic New York day.
After Randi completed her 200-hour training at Yoga Vida NYC in 2014, she continued her education through their mentorship program the following year. From there she went on to study Katonah Yoga with Abbie Galvin to expand her repertoire. She currently instructs various types of yoga including vinyasa, yin, Katonah-inspired, kids, and meditation. In addition to teaching public classes and private and corporate clients, she leads national and international yoga retreats through the company she co-founded, Om Tribe Yoga Retreats. Randi’s teaching style focuses on helping you find proper body alignment before moving deeper into a posture or state of meditation. Her sequences are challenging for all levels, yet she ensures they are attainable for new students by providing many posture variations and hands-on assists.
You can expect lots of flowing vinyasa movement with a focus on core strength and balance. Randi is constantly inspired by the teachers and students she encounters worldwide and looks forward to joining the YUG community!
